The weather where I live usually comes in spurts. Many a day it's good to railfan, even in winter. Many days however are too hot and humid to railfan.

I've seen that coal train several times in Memphis on the NS line, both east and westbound. In my town, we see CSX mostly with UP, occasional NS, and even a couple of UP marked SP along with Conrail and leased units.

Uh oh, lets all hope that railfanning never becomes illegal. What if a passenger train collided with another train in the middle of nowhere and you were the only one that was in the area besides the people on the trains? What if a railfanner found this situation and the railroad didn't know...

I would not recommend you buy Life Like. It's more important to buy a few quality cars than a bunch of low end cars. ;)

Welcome to The-Gauge, SAL Comet. Unfornuately I can't help you on that because the room I'm building my layout in the roof is flat. However, you will need to make some sacrifices (not a full backdrop) in order to get the blessing (the railroad). ;) Hope this helps.

Hey that looks pretty good there Charlie. Even if parts of it look a tad bit fuzzy. But then again, that could be a reason why you call it the Poor Fork RR. ;)

It's cool but were the hobos arrested for being on the trains? Maybe they have served their time picking up trash on the side of the RR. Or maybe they are hiding from RR police. :D

That looks familiar there, but its still in better shape than my layout. :(The reason is because I saw a similar one on a website somewhere. Looks good so far. :)
