    AXM 1/144 Space Shuttle Atlantis

She turned out well indeed Cap'nDavo. Persistence pays doesn't it? Glad to see it finished and glad to see you kept at it. Thanks for sharing the build and I look forward to seeing the next phases. Steve

    AXM 1/144 Space Shuttle Atlantis

Looking very good Capn. I'm glad to hear it's going much better this time around. Persistence pays, doesn't it.

    AXM 1/144 Space Shuttle Atlantis

The flaws you describe aren't really apparent in the pictures, but if you're not happy with it, you're not happy with it. I applaud your decision to start over rather than dump the whole project. That's what I like most about the hobby - if something gets messed up you can just do it again. It's...

    Lawn Tractor

That tractor looks very good DWest. A bit of color, stick it in a diorama and it could pass as real. One change I would suggest is to give it round axles. Then the wheels would turn and it would look better then the square hubs visible in the wheels. Good work. Steve

1:48 Peral Submarine - Heinkel Models

A beautiful model of a beautiful submarine. And thanks for that little history lesson. I didn't know any of that history of the submarine. It's interesting how the basic shape of a submarine has not changed all that much. Steve

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

Absolutely. I have a few in mind I'd like to be able to sell, but generally all of my models are available for download. I hear you! My current to-build-list is sitting at 173 models, of which I've completed 17, 33 I've marked as first priority, and 21 as second priority. Not that I really pay...

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I really would like to wrap this project up since I have so many others I want to do. The layout and markup, and instructions will be the next big challenge. Regards, Steve

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

I'm not aware of the model you refer to. Got a link? In the meantime, and after much delay here are some pics for all of you. We begin the wing and engine assembly with some framework Then we add some skin to form the base of the 'wing' And then a whole bunch of stuff I forgot...

    Another DC-3 ‘Gooney Bird’, 1:50

Suggestions Hi Bob, Try googling easy download counter. I found a couple promising pages like this one http://codecanyon.net/item/simple-download-counter/49962 Or this one http://www.neoprogrammers.com/ I've downloaded many (most) of your models, and would be happy to help you out...

    TU-134A by Di3

Di-3 joined papermodelers back in March last year. His work is stunning. He has a thread over there with a 'simple' AN-32 for download, and is in the process of designing a detailed 1-33 version.

    Thai Airways 747-4D7 HS-TGO Bowonrangsi บวรรังษี

Thanks Cafe. Got them all. They look like nice, fairly simple models. Good for a quick build or for getting a younger person to test their skills. Steve

Help locating model Can you give some pointers as to where on the JAL site you found that? I can't find it on the English pages even with searching. I tried searching for "model" and "papercraft" but no luck. Thanks

(WANTED) Need help to get pages

Hi Paperquestor. A quick google of sa205.pdf found this site which states and also revealed that the missing Saturn 5 sheets were posted in this thread a few years back, and are hosted (probably without permission) at this site. EDIT: This site proved to be a good source for the other...

    ugly paper joints

Hi Mattokun, This is indeed the solution as both Zathros and Ennder have said. Ideally the support strip will be invisible, and lightly coloring the edges of the cut paper makes the joint as seamless as possible. Generally I glue a strip to the back of one piece, let it dry, apply a bit of glue...

SR2 Normandy Design and Build - continued

Happy New Year to you too pferris. Mine is starting off great. Still as swamped as always with work and projects, but getting a handle on things. Here's a brief update on what's transpired since my last update: I assembled the second wing section then set it down next to the first one to...

    Mocking Jay Pin (Hunger Games)

You know what I mean. I didn't design the pin, I took someone else's design and made a reproduction in paper. Virtually all of the work I do in paper is like that. I build others designs, I take others 3D work and convert it to a paper kit, or take an existing kit and improve it, and so on. But...

    Mocking Jay Pin (Hunger Games)

Well, I'm not so good at designing things from scratch, but give me a design and I can make it a kit. That's true. Silver and gold papers are hard to come by in my neck of the woods, but I do have some. Personally though, I like the idea of a more DIY, hand made, hand painted piece. I'll...
