EBay for starters, sometimes the engines are sold for parts so you can get them reasonable. Hope it helps!

    Bashing a church

One of these days I'd like to model my own church. The footprint is kind of like your church, but it is all wood siding no stones. Your looks great!

Bill and Tom's EXCELLENT ADVENTURE in Logging and Mining

Nice work! What a great kitbash. I would never of thought to use the blue tape like that, great technique! I think I'll use it on my next project.

ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

Sure is coming along nicely. Wish I could find one of those McDonalds. I had one a few years ago and sold it on eBay because I wasn't going to do n scale, that will teach me to hold on to all things trains! Do you plan on running a spur back to the cattle pens? That would take some doing I...

    Yet another new layout......

SD-90 - Thanks for the nice comments, but mostly my "skill" comes from trial but mostly error. I used the pink and blue foam for the foundations and shaped it with a rasp and small Japanese trim saw. Then covered the whole structure with a coating of hydrocal. I used a wire...

    Yet another new layout......

I thought about the pump idea, but the way it worked out the track is only about 2 inches away and there might be some splashing in the track. Maybe a woroking stream somewhere else on the layout.......OK now you got me thinking.

    Yet another new layout......

Finally an update I've finally had some time to work on the layout. I've been working on the mountain, waterfall and pond. Let me know what you think. Any suggestions would be great. There is still much to do on this scene as I have to build the coal mine, add the ground foam and trees...

    Hills and Mountains

I guess that depends on how much money is on hand! Sometimes I use newspaper wads and cardboard with a layer of plaster wrap. But I prefer the blue or pink foam (which ever I can get my hands on for free). I shape it with a hot knife/rasp/file/sheet rock knife and then layer it with plaster...

    Yet another new layout......

I'd like to do a city scene on the left side starting at the roundhouse and a mountain scene maybe with a some sort of mine scene on the far right. Perhaps a coal mine on the mountain side and a power plant on the other side where the coal gets delivered. I'll see how the money holds out.

ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

Mike, I have to admit your layout is my inspiration. Your track plan fit the space I have to work with perfectly. I hope you don't mind? Thanks, Paul

    Yet another new layout......

It's been a long time coming but finally I have started my first real N Scale layout. I didn't want to mess with flex track so the whole thing is Kato Unitrack. It's not prototypical in anyway, but will have a purpose of some sort of manufacturing and delivering of goods incase there is ever the...

ACTRR my be dismantled and re-constructed

Mike, It's simple, trainic77.com. How's that for originality? Not a very good website, but a good place to show pictures! Thanks, Paul
