All I got done to the module was painting the track/ties and some of the plaster work with a base coat. However, I did take it to our Ntrak club meeting and found that it all works smoothly as it should. This week I hope to get more painting done and ground cover on.

I bought a structure kit for my Ntrak module and spent several hours staring at the space it will go in to set my final siding. :rolleyes: I'm a perfectionist in so few things in life, yet am totally anal about this module...go figure. I need to run some trains soon or I'll go nuts! :eek:

Interesting show, but I wouldn't call it "great". The locos were indeed unique and historically interesting. I found the show to be rather dumbed-down, repetitive and ultimately not satisfying. I missed a bit of the first half, but why did they never go to Boston and research the departure point...

Thanks for the tips. We are using the 3 track version. I've ditched the bridge idea as it is a bit much for me to make benchwork that will dip/be raised where necessary. I've got a few ideas rolling around in my noggin so we'll see what comes out. I agree, a longer module would be great, but...

Quite by accident, I stumbled on a few local guys trying to get an N-trak club going. I'd actually considered doing a module when I first returned to the hobby last year but there weren't any clubs in the area. Anyhow, they have elected to stick with a simple 3 track system, no mountain division...

The bad: pretty much the only LHS I have is a pain to order from...it takes weeks and weeks and weeks for him to order stuff, I guess because of minimum orders or paying off his bill or something, but it's a PITA. Right now I'm waiting for a part for my airbrush and will probably just order it...

Gee, could you have asked a more open question? ;) Here's something I suggest...go on Ebay and buy a copy (even an older one) of "Places Rated". It rates various cities in the US and Canada on everything from cost of living to weather. This may be a good starting point for you to narrow...
