Its Monday 8-29-05, Weekend modeling accomplishments!

Wished I had moved the couplers back just a tad more to lessen the gap between cars. But this distance would be best on the radius I planned on my module. Here is the coupler mounted on the car.

Its Monday 8-29-05, Weekend modeling accomplishments!

I went camping over the weekend. Had to try out the new (used, 3rd owner) pop-up camper. Could not have asked for a better weekend weather wise. No grandkids, no dog, just the misses and I. Spent a lot of time in our kyaks and swimming. Thinking ahead, I took along some tools and my...

Good news for some of us waiting

My little Shay is stronger than I hoped. Rigged up a little consist and kept raising the grade. No problem with a 5.6% grade. Figure I will keep the grade to 1/2" per foot when I build my switchback NTRAK modules.

Good news for some of us waiting

Got my undecorated unit in the mail today from Wig Wag. Gosh Atlas, it's only been a little over a year since I placed my order to reserve one. It comes with mixed blessings, now I've got to get busy and finish designing and start on my new NTrak switch-back logging module. Heck, I've got...

New Progress on the ACT RR

Mike that looks great. Any chance of getting you to post a few closeups of the station, it looks fantastic. Is it scratchbuilt as it looks so prototypical of the area? I was in Albuquerque and Santa Fe last year at a Navy reuion and being a staunch "New Englander" I admit to being charmed by...

    I couldn't resist these...

Excellent buy Zman! Wished I'd have seen them, would have outbid you as I am always on the lookout for them. You have to love those old time 36" Billboard reefers and I have a number of them. They are a little on the light side and I usually add a little more weight to them. If you are...

    Need a little push?

This is a little scratch built climax (sp?) built by one of our club members, it is a static loco with no power. The member with the long consist was well out onto the main before he noticed it. We all had a good chuckle over his surprise. It was a great show, our club did it to benifit a...

    Need a little push?

Just before he had a chance to pull his consist out onto the main, our club member who specializes in logging added a little help to his train.

    Need a little push?

At our last train show one of our club members had set up a very long consist on the club set up yard.

    Neon sign (scratch in N)

Frank, to help block the light leaks, check out the online clinics at http://www.horailroad.com They have one clinic on structure building with black foam core. Not only does this method of construction provide additional support to your walls but it might provide the darking effect you are...

Valley NTRAK's new mini rotary camera

Thank you all for the compliments, hope I have not broken the camera or a lead with all the multiple forcing it in and take outs during construction. Everything worked okay before I took it out to paint "Da Beast. Little suspense is good, will let it go until show time. Val, on the antenna...
