    Highway overpass

Painting will be a problem as the photograph is black and white. I assume the railings and roadway are concrete and will be painted accordingly, the steel "I" beams and towers I can only guess that they are grey in color. Any help would be appreciated here, this is California in the late...

    Highway overpass

The pink foam is not the module but the heights he supplied for the overpass construction and is for my reference only. The actual overpass is twice the length, but we had to limit the size of the module. The overpass will start at the edge of the module and cross over the red/blu/yel lines...

    Highway overpass

My brother wants to do a prototypical NTrak module of this scene and I volunteered to make the overpass with styrene. So far so good, the only problem is I am making it to dimensions he supplied from his partially completed module. He is in Canada and I am in Connecticut and using a mock up of...

    Walk Thu Module

Hi Pat, Yes I remember meeting you but could not tie the screen name to a face and I have lost my little index card with screen names from the old gauge chat room. The modules are in storage and I cannot readily get a picture of the mechanism. Basically a "NC" reed switch is mounted on the...

    Walk Thu Module

Belg, I did wire in a magnet/reed switch to a relay that opens the outside rails on all the three lines. (red/Yel/blu) Continuity on the modules either side of the bridge will be broken when the gate is open. Depending on the length of the module, normally four foot, this gives the train...

    Ntrak limitations

The Valley NTrak Club of Connecticut did a show today. We put together a very large 36 x 26 waterwing type layout using two "T" shaped modules. The show was a fund raiser for Crew 33 of the Boy Scouts in Shelton CT. There was a lot of diversity in each members modules, but all were built to...

Valley NTrak participated in the Cheshire, CT. train show with a 22 by 30 ft layout. Very active day, we met many interested and interesting people. Our 16 foot setup yard was very busy all day. We had the younger viewers counting well past fifty as freight cars passed them.

    Walk thru "N" gauge module

I finished up the walk thru gate module in time for our first show. Finishing touches were some scenery to the two tower tops. The buildings are held in place with magnets and are easily removed when breaking it down for transporting. Everything gets stored neatly inside the towers. I did...
