There's a shot I've not seen before. Can you tell us more about the car Jeff? What about the surface it is sitting on? Is it finished or do you have plans to further detail the driveway area? What is the structure supposed to be? From the portico, it kind of resembles a Ramada Inn but the roll...

You know, the more I stare at this picture, the more I expect that any minute, I'm gonna see a great big old full moon pop up from behind that overpass. Then I had an idea... a goofy one but still an idea... Some of those astronomy stores sell some pretty convincing glow in the dark moons...

I too like that shot! The lighting is just perfect. That happened to me also 'cept I don't remember where... somewhere between Toledo, OH and Flagstaff, AZ. I just remember it being really weird... kind of like people were sitting right outside my house looking in my bedroom window!

Nope, no sarcasm intended. I just must be oblivious as I've never noticed it before. Nazgul, I've seen that shot of your layout probably 100 times but somehow it just never gets old. Nice work. Can't wait to see more once you get started on the new one. Slekjr, That shot reminds me of the...

Next Time I Should be Patient

I know what you mean. For years I wanted a finished, late transition era N scale fire engine. With no success, I finally bought a little kit. Since I'm not real gung ho about assembling them, it sat in the "to do" box for several more years. Finally, a manufacturer came out with a finished...

    Childhood train influence?

Yep, definitely childhood influence. My dad and especially one of my uncles were both train fanatics and it kinda rubbed off on me. It was my dear old departed grandma who got me my first locomotive though.

    On Track, with Deano

I'll say! One day while visiting my LHS, I had one of those Tower 55's in my hands. I came oh so close to buying it but turned it down. Later, I gave in and ordered one but after months and months with no response, I finally gave up and cancelled my order. I've always wished I'da just gotten...

That leads me to wonder just how something like that was made. It would appear that each wheel was made by a different person as the curves in the weight on the wheel on the left are radially (new word?) parallell with the hub while the wheel on the right is more randomly concave. Any further...
