    S-curve question

A number 6 crossover will work out to about 2" straight and a 46" curve when you substitute for one of the switches. I use a 3" straight and a 32" curve and that works good.

Help with the Remote Snap Switch RH N/S HO

On the control set the 2 screws on the end go to power. If you have 2 lugs on one end this is where other controlers connect; if not there were lugs supplied with the control to add more for other turnouts. The center screw; where you see 3 screws; is the common and goes to the center screw of...

    Confessions of an Engine Illitererate

If you're looking at trains going by at a crossing the numbers under the cab will usually tell what type engine it is. I model the Reading Lines, went out of business in 1976, Conrail. The Reading used class numbers on their engines. A RSE-14 could be a GP30, GP35, or an SD45, the GPs would...

I just got back into MRR this year. I haven't started building my layout but have a small shelf with some switches on it. I'm going to use dcc for the layout and the shelf is a test bed for decoders and switching. I have some ground throw and some powered; on the layout only those switches I...

    Zephyr and number of trains

DT I'm using the Zepher for my HO layout. I've had 5 Athern engines running at the same time with no trouble. The engines I installed the decoders in are 1986 vintage Atherns, old motors and old drivetrain.

    switches

Lynn: If you are trying to wire these sections as blocks you have one section reversed. Looks like you are using common rail and maybe Atlas selectors to control these sections. The way it's drawn the hot wires would all be on the same side. Wayne l
