A live derailment caught on tape! Thanks to greg pope in nc

Talking about having a bad day. That "target" is a switch stand.. What probably happen is the engine split the switch by picking the points. This can because by the switch handle not being secured by the switch handles latch.

    A Update

Looks good so far.. I would like to keep each industry on seperate tracks..I think this can be done if the face each other and a switch was added to each siding. We can add industries across from the yard area as well.

    Pallets of bricks and Blocks?

Josh,At the warehouse where I worked we had one of those strapping tools as well as a shrink wrap machine that would spin the skid while shrink wrapping it. We called it the saran station-confused a lot of new hires. You should have seen them looking for it and of course if they ask they was...

    Pallets of bricks and Blocks?

Josh,Indeed brick and concrete blocks can be banned with metal strapping. Also strapping comes in several sizes from light to heavy duty.. As far as shrinkwrapped pallets they are not as stable as metal strapping but, seems to be all the rage these days like cardboard skids..

    A Update

Sounds good but,the switchback in the upper hand corner needs eliminated as I will need 2 tracks for the paper mill that will be located there.A three track overflow yard should suffice.. You are welcome to give it a whirl if you like and have the time.

Matt,That will be NYC track to Thurston,Hobson and into Charleston. Squid,That would be correct it was also a industry holding yard.If you look to the East you will see the NYC/N&W crossing at Bannon..This is where the NYC and later PC interchange cars with the N&W..It was not usual to see...
