I say go for it. If, for example, I were to score a sweet deal on a brass SD40-2 that was made when the prototypes were still new, you betcha I'd run that puppy alongside newer plastic models.

I like that stackable paired module idea, Andrew - and with minimal changes to just a few pieces, I can do it. All I need is .... time.....
