Yeah, I know...:oops: I don't have any HO figures yet...I've been switching scales so much over the last couple of years...I've got N scale & O scale figures, but haven't gotten around to getting some of the "medium sized" ones! :D

Thanks guys! :) I did do some Photoshopping on this one...You can probably tell from the smoke & steam effects...But I also painted in the backdrop...it looks a little better than my basement walls! :rolleyes:

This is a project I began simply as a practice exercise, to see if I could build some type of steam loco for my HOn30 layout that was in any way presentable…(this is still a work in progress, & the jury is still out) The logical starting point was of course, an N scale steam engine…I didn’t want...

Sometimes I enter the contests, & I always like looking at all the photos, but I don't vote...Winners & losers just aren't that big of a deal to me... Like wayne said, I just post a picture because I like it...

I'm still working on my steam engine kitbash... It's totally a trial & error project (with lots of both :curse: :rolleyes: ) I may have to take a break from it this week & actually work on the layout for a change! :rolleyes: :D

I’m finding myself in the same camp as Kevin…Since getting into narrow gauge, (Hon30) I’m having to build everything If I’m luckt, I’ll find a good running N scale loco chassis, & then I have to fashion the rest of it myself…same deal with rolling stock… Back when I was modeling in Standard...

I just use white glue also…it takes about two hours to cure…I use either map pins or weight the track down with something… What I like about the white glue is that it makes a nice temporary bond before the track is ballasted…if you need to pull up, or re-position the track; all you need to do is...

What type of industry is it going to be? Is the structure already attached to the base in the photo? Are you wanting a raised platform, or ground level?
