I (almost) hate to say this, but... Is there such a person as a "ripple counter?":mrgreen::thumb: (apologies, MT, I had to)

    Tim Allen rotary tool

Try Walmart, I think they have a Dremel accessory set. They also sell a rotary tool for about $20, seems to work fine for as much as I use it!

    Please Help a Newbie

Take any dimension you have for the prototype, and divide it by 76. If you have a dimension on the diagram of, say, 2.50m, then in OO the length would be 33mm (2500/76). If you have a dimension on the diagram of 10'-4", (124"), then in OO it would scale to 1.63" (124/76) If your...

    N scale radius versus HO

Pete, that post was most helpful, but what about the 66 degree curve, is that possible? Would that be 10.6" radius in HO?

    Please Help a Newbie

Hi Nathan, if you want to stay with 4mm how do you feel about hand-laying the track, 14mm gauge? That way you also get the ties and tie spacing you want.

    Atlas Super or Custom Switch

CustomLine is made like sectional track, has the ties at the ends gapped for a rail joiner. SuperSwitch has full ties at the ends, to connect or trim as you need. I think they both have isolated metal frogs...

    FreeHand Easements

ni hao xiong, I think most easements in model railroading are quite informally structured. I used a method out of MRR which simply used a flexible stick to conform from the straight section to the curve. It worked quite well. The offset from the straight section to the true tangent only...

    Browsing The Gauge

The Gauge In the "Good old days" I only used "new posts" to start off unless I was looking for something. Ever since "Z-day", that brings up a host of unwanted (by me), non-mrr posts to sort through. We have brought this up before and I'm not sure why Peter does not fix this unless...

plastics hauled in the covered hoppers

This is what Ron is talking about, size like Ron said. Something like powdered sugar would prolly be close to HO. I would think that not much gets spilled. I have only seen it in boxes but I think they have re-usable containers also. Outside the plant, containers would not be open. If they...

    Help Me Dream

One way, access in the corners. Better viewing and easier access under table with the layout higher (IMO). If you're short like me, use a stool, it makes life easier  Those tables are 48 x 30
