Look for any post with Pitchwife (I think) and you will find a link in his signature with a bunch of MRR links. Here is the link: http://home.centurytel.net/pitch/home/link_page/model_railroad_links.htm

    Howdy!

Both my 16 month old son and my 4 year old daughter are infatuated with Thomas. My daughter knows every one of them by name and can give their wheel arraingment's accurately. I wish I had the physical ability to work on my layout more. Before I tore up the trackwork I had down, I let my...

Top Ten Reasons To Avoid Denver

Isn't it kinda scary that someone has made a multi-ton machine a childs toy (in essence)? When kids play with their remote control cars, they never consider danger. Same mind set at a casino. They make you play with chips because it is not real money you are gambling. I understand the concept...

    The Mother Lode

Not to drag this out too much, or get too pushy, but if anyone is tempted by a trade, let me know asap as the items I am not using are getting listed on eBay by this coming Monday at the latest. If you want to know what other kits I have, or need more pics, let me know. I love taking pics. I...

    The Mother Lode

That is only a partial list. I have some that I am keeping for myself that I have not listed here. All told, he has given me around 25 kits and has at least 50 more that he wants me to have. All I have to do is take a trip to Minnesota to pick them up. That CB&Q dyno car is cool. I wish I...

    The Mother Lode

Fred, I also have a Western Union Material Car. I am not sure of the prototype year, but I do know that it is too early for my era. It, too, is a 1 in 5000 kit. This tidbit is for everyone, I am not interested in cash per se, but I am willing to make trades. If anyone wants to set up a...

I do appreciate that. I am an experienced eBay seller, but I can always stand to learn more. I might email you about the listing of these items as well as a few others. Matt

    The Mother Lode

I am keeping some, and getting more. I do have 1 or 2 from the early 1900's, including the stock car listed here. I will look through the rest of them and see what I have. Thanks for the eBay advice. I certainly don't want to loose any potential gain. Matt

I have no useful advice, but this is a very fascinating project. I am definately looking forward to the end result. Best of luck. Matt

    The Mother Lode

My Father-In-Law is an avid model builder. He loves building railroad models, but not a model railroad. He switched from HO to HOn3 and during his last visit he brought me a bunch (about 15) of HO craftsman kits. They are all older kits, and most of them do not match my era or region. He...

God bless you and everyone else that serves our country. Be safe, and may all your flights be smooth and all your landings smoother. We will wait, with great anxiety, for your return. Matt

Top Ten Reasons To Avoid Denver

As I recall, the FRA requires protection (even within yard limits) at the forward moving end of the movement. I will certainly concede that remote control is a dangerous practice, and it eliminates jobs. However, if it is done by the rules the danger is significantly lessened. Railroading is...

    Anyone up for a challenge?

I couldn't see trying to place the pass to staging at the ends. It would be nearly impossible to hide and would require an unreliable radius. I like the idea of hiding the pass behind a structure. My previous design had the pass hidden by an overpass and some trees. Matt

    Anyone up for a challenge?

It does not have to loop. I am not going to split the 4' section though. I will place the backdrop at either 24" or 30" and use the remaining space for a staging yard. I am going to construct it in a modular design so it can be packed and moved when the time comes. My only stipulation is...
