How to convert LL F40 and GP38 to Microtrains ?

Herc Driver, Cutting the coupler away worked well. But drilling in the locomotive body, thats another thing. I think I'll glue the couplers like umtrr suggested, but unfortiunatly when I grabbed my "super glue" it looked to be dryed out, get another one friday. I'm not running long trains...

Unitrack on plywood, how about noise ?

I wonder, I like the cookie cutter method that can easely be acheived with plywood, but do I need something underneath the Unitrack to minimize the noise produced by running trains ? Thanks, Paul

    Unitrack Layouts

Dick, this is indeed N-scale and both plans have eased curves. Cannonball the second plan is the reworked Granite Gorge and Northern. A better version of plan 1 without fooling the main when switching the yard Paul

Easements in Unitrack (sort of) can be done.

I'm an appartment dweller and I think I have to wait till retairement to settle in my own house. This is the reason I bought Unitrack so I can set up and tear down a small layout to run some trains. In the early days I used to have a layout build in flex track and I was pleased to see my...

Granite Gorge & Northern in Unitrack

pgandw, Thanks for the tips about team track and freight station and industrial spur at the yard. But no room for 4" more to rotate the plan, I have to live with that, but I think scenicing will aprove the appearance and break the view on the straight track. Paul

Granite Gorge & Northern in Unitrack

Thanks for reply gang, first this is a modified version of the gg&n. All turnouts are #6, smallest radius is 315 mm = 12.4" and most curves are eased with 19".Track is Unitrack, scale is N. Switching is only possible in the yard, but that is enough for me, the only withdrown for myself is that...
