The windshield curves look excellent. A tricky area for me.

Here is a construction shot. Fingernails in good shape that day! Here's another. It's not pure in that the foliage includes foam and fibers.

    New Resources area rocks !

Not only does it look good, but it is much more responsive and downloads are a lot quicker. It appears that a lot of hard work is going into this cleanup.

    Tabs or Butt joints

I did my vote for butt joints, BUT it's really more complicated than that. I butt join cylinders, but put a splice plate behind the joint. And so forth for any butt joint - some (or a lot) reinforcement. If the plane changes than I do use a tab which doesn't draw attention to the joint.

Backmann 45 deg track part question

You will need to use partial length straights and curves to make everything line up. I'd suggest going to the Bachmann site and look for track plans with that particular crossing. That should give you information on the numbers and lengths of the short sections.

    help please

Converting older Lionel for two rail operation is not quite impossible. But close. The locomotives are not insulated for 2 rail DC power. It would mean new motors, frames and wheels - all all the wheels. Plus some machining ability. You have set some goals that are going to be very...

    yard rail lines

2 inches is common because you can get your fingers in to lift a car when needed. If you test, test, test - you could go down to an inch and a half on straights, but that might not be satisfactory over the long haul.

    DCC questions

All that sort of DC traditional control knowledge has to be tossed. Automation is a software issue and driven by computer control. That specific example would require transponding decoders (Decoders that report their location to a computer program. Mainly for signaling reasons.) which are at...

    scenic cement

It's matte medium and water. You'll have to play with ratio of water. It should coat your finger. Modd Podge is available at craft stores and fairly inexpensive. Scenic Express has matte medium by the gallon. No problem using white glue and water. It will result in crunchy scenery that is...

Sure. These three are my faves. I have much higher res versions if needed. I do have photos at angles that show parts of the model that aren't made so well. But raging lions won't make me post those!:p Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Almost pure paper. Most is Canon matt photo paper. Some letter weight, some tissue run through the printer (flags) and some tablet backs. The four masts, the torpedo spar and the queen posts are brass rod or modified tooth picks. Rigging is Lycra thread and 0.004" stainless steel wire...
