    An accident changes an industry

Ralph, that... ...was a good story. An Aesops' fable of sorts. Short, poignant with a glorious tone of re-birth after mishap. Take a look at PVC end caps. No pipe to cap or fabricate a dome for- it is the tank, the dome the whole... You'll hafta steel wool 'em to accept paint. Well, ya...

    Need MR article copies

Geeez- I have the same problem. I'm looking for a photo MR issued showing an early Amtrak E8. Black with the broad band red and blue stripe. I need to know how that E8 looked from the nose. The photo indicated what the "wrap" was as it went around the curved nose. I'm pretty sure it's a...

Unitrack on plywood, how about noise ?

This is a personal decision... ...to me. I ran Unitrak on plywood and enjoyed the sound (especially a heavy train- 35+ cars). You may not like it. I think it's something you'll have to try and make up your own mind. Mark

    FolkArt paint question ...

Uhmmm, is it "Folk Art" acrylic paint or.. ... acrylic paint?!!! Just what the heck is FolkArt paint? A brand name- does the label say only use on "folk art"? I used a screwdriver as a pry bar once (or 500 times). Hey, I even put ketchup on a hotdog a couple of times when I was in a weird...

ways to model bad track for slow speeds

All ya gotta do is... ...take a fine tooth straight screw driver, and "dink" your track as if that's where joints would be (don't do it at actual joints- geez) and have sunk from hammering of wheels. Blake and I did it on an HO Club layout for a rip track- the guys got awfully sore until they...

    What A Treat!

Got no probs... ...with a Circus- just the time when all the attention was about circus trains- seemed like it, BAD, BAD, BAD. Like- I'm sorry- I couldn't care less but I love the '60's movie with Charlton Heston- What was the name of that movie??? Had Jimmy Stewart in it too. Mark

I can tell you this... ...much. I have some interior pictures, in my old computer. Had a few posted here sometime ago- can't find 'em. Went thru about a dozen parked GG1s in Kearney, NJ. The layout is an H inside. The cab doors swing in and as wide as you see them they miss the...
