Need Help Identifying an American Flyer Engine

You don't say what the number is on the cab and I also preseume that it is HO. Without that, it would be difficult to give you an answer. In any event, I ASSume that you have purchased one of the better price guides for AF. This would give you a definitive answer.

    Atlas turnout throw rods

Sheesh. I have used Atlas turnouts for over 20 years and have had very few problems with the Custom Line turnouts. Snap Switches, yes, but not the Custom Line. I've had more problems with the Shinohara (Lambert/Walthers) than Atlas. Oh, well... To each his own and the Ice Man has his pick...

Again this year, with permission, Doug Scott of Railfan Express, http://www.scotware.net/ has made a screen saver from the NMRA calendar. Last year's screen saver is still available as well. This is free to all and may be accessed from a link at the top of the NMRA home page at: http://www.nmra.org/

    Nmra

Everything on the NMRA web site is open to all except for the two 'Members Only' discussion lists. When you visit, you will notice that there are changes coming in the Standards and RP area as well as potential changes in the structure itself. No, the NMRA isn't dead. It may have been...
