I have budgeted for the price of Unitrack and as long as I don't do a 20'x40' with a huge yard I should be alright

    Help!

re:Charlie Thats why I am thinking of the Scenic Ridge track plan. The main reason I will using Unitrack is the power routing switches. Considering I am not Joe Electrician this will cut down with the wiring and using insulated joiners etc. The only problem I see is the Kato uses the metric...

    Help!

It has been quite awhile since I built a layout. I am looking to build an N-scale 3x7 with Kato Unitrack. I have looked over the Kato website and none of their track plans tickle my fancy. The Scenic Ridge track plan I doo sort of like, but I don't want to do the actual Scenic Ridge kit. I was...

    Atlas SD 50's

I e-mailed Atlas several days ago and yet to have a reply. I guess I am use to Kato getting back right away on a couple of problems I had with some of their engines over the last 6 yrs.

    Atlas SD 50's

I purchased two of these critters. One from a shop I do business with and the other from a show. Both make a screeching noise at slower speeds. I have never had a problem like this with Atlas. Is it something wrong with this production? I also did give them a drop of lubricant But it...

A lot of folks camp out around those tunnels. I usually don't get to Cumberland much......right now I am back on the board heading north out of Philadelphia towards North Jersey......but if I get bumped then it's back to the yard board which also covers runs to Baltimore and Cumberland.

    BNSF yard

Looks like the north end (west) of Gibson yard in Omaha. I take it the picture was taken from the I-80 bridge over the Missouri River? I spent some time on the BNSF in the Nebraska Division.

    a union pacific in philly

UP power is quite common, I have had a few trains in the past from North Jersey that had UP power, these units usually come down the CSX River line via Selkirk from points west. Anyone who is a railfan from around Albany will tell you that BNSF and UP engines are a common sight at the Selkirk...

As for the EOT's......have you seen these not working at night? NORAC rules require a freight train to have an illuminated marker from 1 hour before sunset to 1 hour after sunrise. But most of these markers stop flashing during daylight hours. The exception being when passed by another train...
