    The Old West Structures

Awesome looking structures but way out of my price range. I love the two story outhouse on the home page. :D

    I Need Cowboys

N scale ones at that. Now that I've found my western town, I need a few cowboys to go in it. Or at least some old timey looking people. Not having much luck.

    The Old West Structures

Found exactly what I was looking for here. http://www.fiferhobby.com/html/arrowhead_models_randy_brown_n.html Randy Brown Models formerly known as Arrowhead Models. Cheap, easy kits. The merchentile will be modified into the train depot and the undertaker's will probably become the bank.

    TBA Railway construction started!

WOW! That is a ton of track in that yard! Just imagine the hours you'll spend switching!

    The Old West Structures

Actually, the ones Nomad posted would work as well if I could figure out how to get the PDF reduced to N scale. The buildings are in HO. I printed off their free saloon model on regular paper and put it together. For just paper, it came out pretty good but would have been better on cardstock.

    The Old West Structures

That just might fit the bill.... A little flat clearcoat.... hhhhmmmm Perhaps... If I could read German? :( Actually, I looked at some of the designs... A little cartoony for what I'm looking for.

    The Old West Structures

Sam, to be honest, I'm looking for cheap and easy. :D I need about 5 or 6 structures, including a train depot to make up a small, old west town. I was thinking maybe: 1) sheriff's office and jail 2) saloon/hotel 3) bank 4) blacksmith shop 5) church 6) train depot Maybe an old...

    The Old West Structures

Anybody make good, inexpensive buildings that fall into the "Old West" category? Preferably built up but simple kits would be OK as well.

    Museum Piece

Not really sure. The only info given on it is the type of locomotive. I think it's there mainly as a display piece and has no real significance except it fits in with the museum's Old West and local history theme. Considering the shape she's in, it's too bad they didn't keep her operational...

The makin's of one nasty accident

I was on that train.... I remember the whole thing like it was yesterday..... Old Joe was sittin' over in the conductor's seat, smokin' that nasty old pipe of his and telling off color jokes. Those jokes would offend everybody in earshot but Old Joe would just laugh like they were the funniest...

    Museum Piece

This old Baldwin is in one of our local museums here in St. Joseph. The pics aren't the best quality because the lighting in there is terrible but I thought I'd share anyway.

    Atlas Remote Switches

Don't worry. I work with mechanical engineers who have college degrees and still use the same terminology. :D So they each have to be wired separately to the switches but they can all be wired to the same power pack, correct?

    Atlas Remote Switches

So if I had seven remote switches, I would need seven of the controlers then? Can they be wired in series somehow or do they all have to be wired separately to operate independently? Edit: I take it this is what I'm looking for.... http://www.fiferhobby.com/products.php?sku=ATL-56

    Tropicana

I have a Tropicana reefer car on my MicroSoft Train Simulator. :D

    Atlas Remote Switches

I know nothing about N scale remote switches. What is needed to make these go? I notice they just have a couple of wires running off of them. What are they attached to? O scale just has an overgrown toggle switch connected to them. What do the controls look like for N scale and why don't...
