    DHL Train Ad

I don't know about shipping companies however Home Depot does ship to customers around town while BNSF delivers to them. http://www.bnsf.com/media/news/articles/2005/01/2005_01_27a.html Am I off track? Edit: LMAO! Boy that clip about made me fall out of my chair from laughing so hard. That...

Piece of Canadian History 4 Sale

Well, I'd either buy it and turn it into a full sized layout room and build a house on the land somewhere or buy it turn it into a house with a huge train room, using the turntable as the drive way entrance.:D For those unwelcomed guest's simply turn the table a ful 90 degrees and then they...

Show Us Your Freight Car Load Projects

Here it is guys. I finished ths car about 2 weeks ago. Making hooks to hook into the tracks was no easy task but I did it. The chains are the ONLY thing holding the trackhoe to the car. I'm guessing it weighs roughy around 3/4 to a full pound. This is an extreamly heavy car, but sense it's going...

    What glue?

There's a bottle type glue that has an orange lable and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me but it's good stuff. It melts the plastic to where it bonds joints really well. I've used it for a long time but not over the last couple months because I've been out and I have to order it...

Show Us Your Freight Car Load Projects

I'll try to have one up this evening if I can get some decent pictures. Brakie, one of our club members built those same type of wrecked loads one was even a tank car. The dent's were so well done that it was a double take because it looked that real. These were custom built cars for customers...

    Covering a logo?

Well, I found a way to just remove the logo's off the cars rather than cover them up. I got the logos off and the reporting marks patched up so now hopefully a little dull coat to touch up the shine where the logo was and some new decals. I had some decals in red but long forgot what ever...

    Covering a logo?

Well, I guess the number would be ok to leave on there. I think Mason has a good point to the stock edge. I did wait till the paint was dry but somehow it did run when I applied it. It came out ok so I just carefully used my Xato knife as a straight edge to remove what paint did bleed leaving...

    Covering a logo?

Well, thing is I don't want the logo at all. I bought these new some time last year not really worrying about the road name as there wasn't much to chose from. The two SSW car's were the only gray ones. The rest were other colors. I played around and masked the side of one of the cars and...

    Covering a logo?

Would masking tape work to keep strait lines? I used scotch tape for strait lines before on my 200 ton crane when I cut the smoke stack off to make it more modern and used a piece and styrene cut in a square to cover up as if a new pieve of steel had been welded on and painted over. However the...

Does your political party give you the right to vote tuesday?

I don't know. I'm 21 now and won't vote at all. (to many things in that fine print) Hey, as long as the train's roll and I can support my family then that's all I need.

    Covering a logo?

OK guy's. I've just about done it all but this is a new thing I'm trying to do. I have two Atlas 3 bay covered hoppers in Cotton Belt with the SSW reporting marks. How do I paint over the the logo and change the number's and reporting mark without damaging the cars or oringnal paint? Kinda like...

Odd hookup on the UP line

Sometimes around here you'll see UP and BNSF together but most of the time it's KCS with BNSF power 97% used for coal service. We went by one of the UP yards off of I-20 in Shreveport today and I saw A UP train with a NS locomotive and another which was a bit strange looking for a CN locomotive...

    Interesting Locos

Well, the firt is an EX UP unit and the second looks to me to be the Reading line colors so I'm thinking it's an EX Reading locomotive. As for the third one, well I've seen one in the same colors myself but had no lettering, just numbers.

    GE on TV

If they had that demo on the market I would love to have one. I'm hoping to pull together the whole set of UP's fallen flag locomotives. Is Tower 55 producing them or just Overland? I saw the new GE commercial twice. pretty neat if I say so.

    What happened with P2k.

I was just looking at Athearn and Atlas' site. Atlas doesn't have anything as far as grain car's but I'm thinking for cement because I have 3 Walthers 100 ton Ortner hoppers. I've seen these car's used for carrying PS2? type rock that would be unloaded into a small underground room with a...

    What happened with P2k.

PS2CD/4750 Cubic Foot Rib Sided 3-Bay Covered Hopper kit's for grain but this brought another question to me sense I also want to model a cement plant. Do they use the same type of car or something different?

New Extention 2 My HO Layout

Josh, where did you get that ADM kit from? I shopped around at Walthers and the one I ound was small compaired to that one unless you built two kits into one? The one you have is more of what I'm looking for. Do you have a ink to where I might find one?

    Sid Meyer's Railroads!

Hmmmmm. I think I might just do that. As long as it's modern! :)
