    Glueing Foam Board to Benchwork

I've use Elmer's Glue-all, but have recently switched to adhesive caulk for everything (foam, roadbed, track, roads, ect!).

KATO's Maxi-IV's Well Cars and Atlas 48' All Purpose Well Cars

    I'm slightly impressed, though glad I did not pay $80! 1. Weight is half of NMRA RP-20.1 -A unit weight: 2.9oz -B unit weight: 3.2oz -C (intermediate) 2.7oz End cars per RP-20.1: 5.5oz (~9") Intermediate: 5oz (~8") However, compared to Athearn's Maxi-III, they're heavier. 2...

KATO's Maxi-IV's Well Cars and Atlas 48' All Purpose Well Cars

Looking good. Apparently the UPS guy came by my place after I was home. Those *******s NEVER knock! I'll get mine tomorrow and post up an in-depth review/comparison. From the looks of it though, they fudged on the pad printing.

    Frusterated with LBF Boxcar Kits

Josh... I'll take them off your hands! :P I'd had a knack for leaving off the coupler screw and just using the truck screw on my LBF cars. Just be glad you didn't get the plastic truck pin versions (or did you?).

    The Mysterious Purple Peace symbol

Yeah, its just Craigslist's Favicon. As to how it got to all of your bookmarks? I think it might just be a hiccup in your browser. My FF3 looses the Favicons every month or so, not sure why.

    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

I'd stick to Walthers if you want well weighted cars, they seem to track the best. I'm still waiting on my Kato's, so I cannot comment on them. The Atlas cars are VERY light, but well done details, Athearn has the largest selection, and those Maxi-I's are SWEET! The Intermountain Maxi-IV's...

    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

Depending on the era, yes. Josh, if you're modeling the last few years, they're not longer railroad owned. Athearn, Detail Associates & Ramax make/made the right type of car, along with the Walthers cement hopper (different style). Two bay 100 cars, with center discharge...

    Wpm 2008

And here's what I bought (not to include the MPEX unit, as I did not shoot it while I was there). UP E9 Trio: Up C6044AC #7391. This is a AC6000 with an AC4400 prime mover. Being built from a BLI AC6000, the single exhaust is from Hi-Tech Details. BNSF 4723, the Train Simulator unit...

    Wpm 2008

Well, I got back from the WPM meet around 9PM PST last night. Was a new experience, lots of interesting stuff to look at, and the intermodal presentation was dead on. I shot around 250 photos. Met a few new people (including the guy who does the Q&A section of the Streamliner (UPHS's...

How do you make the Flageways in Crossings?

Buy some BLMA crossing parts... I like Tom's way, sounds very viable.
