TCF Gaming has a new site!

Thank you, I've fixed the D/L link! I've quite fond of the corridor set. I was, I will admit, thinking of Space Hulk a bit when I designed them.

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

It took far too long to get to, but the Timberwolf is now added to my site catalogue. If you missed the post, the site layout has changed fairly significantly, although it should be easy to locate the Battletech set. Now, onto my City Walls set, which is in the final texture stages. I hope...

TCF Gaming has a new site!

While the site has not moved, the entire site has changed, most dramatically with the complete removal of the store, and the recreation of the CMS front end that was driving it. What does this mean to you? Every paper model I have ever released is now available, for free. This was not an...

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

Build time (with cutting) was around 1-1.5 hours. I'm pretty practiced at making tiny paper parts though. The first few may not be so quick for someone new to it. Sadly, the Maurader is not my model. I just rescaled an existing .pdo file for my own build/test. I can't recall at the moment the...

Modular Hex Game Elements 1:1000 Scale (WIP / Release)

Well, sometimes an idea takes hold and you just have to run with it (or model, as the case may be). I have a design and mesh for a new set: Modular City Walls. This is designed again at 'map' scale, or 1:1000 (thereabouts). I have a few more fit-up pieces to make, as well as a few more...

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

Well, it has been a while (I blame ArenaNet), but I've finally finished the textures for the Timberwolf. I have yet to unfold it, but I've deliberately designed this for ease of building, so I have few worries. I should have it done in a few days and I'll post again once I am complete. My ink...

    Catapult from MechWarrior

Took about 20 min, but I have it now in Blender. I can get more 'true' 3-Angle shots for you than Pepakura can obtain, if you want. As well I can hide geometry and zoom on areas that are unclear. I can also put it into perspective with the Cat for relative scale. Tirick

    Catapult from MechWarrior

With the considerable assistance of Blaar I am now able to yank whole models from the MWO client and convert them into Blender format. I can get Ortho Images (or focus images for specific areas) for you, if you would like, or even the direct model. Send me a PM to let me know and I can try to...

    Catapult from MechWarrior

Stunning. Fantastic. Utterly amazing. You have a gift, that is certain. Your pile of parts look so close to the game model, it is eerie. Also, I don't know if it is the angle of the shots, your clear talent, or what, but those pieces almost look like cast polystyrene laying there.

Modular Hex Game Elements 1:1000 Scale (WIP / Release)

This was long delayed (Guild Wars 2 swallowed all of my free time in the last 3 months), but at last these are up and in the store. As noted in the original post, they are (and will remain) free. I'm having issues with my Joomla install and so there is no announcement post on the main page...

    Catapult from MechWarrior

Double post - sorry! That model is really, really coming along. Unbelievable amount of skill/detail in that beauty.

    Catapult from MechWarrior

Can you get them in any format? I'd love to pull one into Blender and have a go, or at the least use it as a base to build a usable one. PM me if you can, I would be very grateful. Thank you, Tirick

    Catapult from MechWarrior

Those look awesome! Did I read that right; Blaar, do you have a pdo of the MWO model?

    Catapult from MechWarrior

That is frakkin incredible! I love the Cat, and picked it for my founder 'Mech. I have the beginnings of a 3d model of one sitting idle in my projects folder on this, but WOW. I cannot believe the amount of detail you put into this. I would never have considered a scratchbuild. From what I can...

    VF-29 by Takeuchi

That is a stunning model, and a great build. I find myself that flaws that are apparent to the builder are often unseen by the observer (I can't see any myself).

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

The Cat is probably the worst of them to be fair. I do need to clean them all of flash, and maybe open up some detail on a few. They are great for my son, who is five, as they are made of a sturdy plastic. The two 'premium' plastic mechs are top-notch though. I wish they had continued the line.

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

*laughs* The new introductory Box Set from Catalyst. You get 24 moderate to bad mechs + 2 very well detailed clan mechs, a few really good intro rules/Inner Sphere books and two fold out heavy-card mapsheets. All in all, at less than $3 per mini (assuming the books are 'free') I can't really...

1:1000 Scale Battlemechs WIP / Release

One of the reasons I love to have models in scale with one another is that you can really get a scope of how big some things really are. I just finished building BLaaR's Mechwarrior 4 model of the Overlord-Class Dropship (available on papermodelers.com in the download section). I rescaled it to...

    Modular 3d Hex Terrain (Hills)

Guild Wars 2. I expect it will consume significant amounts of my time for the next several months (if not years).

    Modular 3d Hex Terrain (Hills)

The modular hills (hex) are released (and free) on my site: http://tcfgaming.com (in the store section). When I was younger I was keen to get the geo-hex sets, although my budget has been seriously diminished since my college days (three kids can do that). My wife can tolerate the $10 paper...
