Time for another update!

I was asked by several people if I was intending to greeble out the lid and thumb lever. At first, I had not planned to. However, after talking to my daughter (and showing her what all I was working on), she convinced me that I should go ahead and go all the way and greeble out as much as I can.
So, I asked @Revell-Fan if he could send me the greebling parts for the lid and thumb lever (which if this works as well as I think that it should, greebling will be added to the parts template for those of you who are (just a crazy as I am and) wanting to greeble the lid and thumb lever.

Starting with the part of the lid that has greebling.

Here is the greebling.

The greebling is rather tedious. Yes, I left the small circles unpainted, because when I attempted to paint one, I launched it in the netherworld. So, I left them "as-is".

Moving on to the thumb lever. I know that there are those who would say that I am slightly crazy (or more than just slightly) for wanting to greeble out this piece, because the shape of the piece itself as well as the greebling parts are oddly shaped (to say the least). However, I decided to take a plunge into the deep end and try my hand at it.

Here is the thumb lever "as-is".

Now for the F-18 fighter ornament on top (just like a cherry on the cake!:sticktongue:).

Here is the mount for the ornament.

The mount is attached to the top of the lid.

So, as promised, here are a comparison photos between the paper/cardstock model and the "real" prop.
I have to say that @Revell-Fan did a FANTASTIC JOB on this project! The similarities and details between the two are impressive!
So, with that being said, I will allow the photos to do the "talking", and you can decided which one you prefer.
