Thank You dnalor. I know your build very well:). Great work.

I have not much time left for Y-wing (paper modeling), so progres is slow right now. I have finished buttplate on front fuselage and working on cockpit right now.

This kind of scratch building is really artful, and you end up with a fantasy turned into a tactile sculpture of what normally can only be seen by others.

In other words, that's one "Helluva" nice model you have built. I wish I could hold it. :)

And lot of details and greeblings there is. I am still little scared of it:).

Especialy this spring and summer was otside time for me. We are heavily reconstructing our cottage in highlands. I am enjoying it wery much. It sometimes feels like paper modeling in real scale:). But it was hard work. I even ended up in hospital because my eyes started to acted vierdly from cumulated fatigue. Everything is fine now.

I suffered the same problem, I had to drive around 2000 miles in three days, and that was virtually constant driving. I suffered eye strain, and I don't think my eyes have ever recovered. It was driving into the Sun at sunrise, and the night driving, so many people have their headlights adjusted wrong. Now, I am repairing my house and property from the Tornado damage. I already ended up in the hospital once, the doctor really chewed me out for over doing, just before he knocked me out for 12 hours. I sure felt better when I regained consciousness, and all the ant-inflammatory drugs took effect. My 3 cars need brake jobs. I just removed a hitch from my Subaru Forestor, and put on a new Draw-Tite hitch, it took my two days to get the screw to align. I had to prop up the rear bumper really weird to line up the holes. A nightmare job. The brake jobs should be pretty straightforward, as they need new rotors and pads. :bulgeeye:

Hello friends, I just reupload all mising photos in this thread, if anyone is interested to see this old thread.

When I started this project in 2018, there was no accurate 3d model available, so I started to make it myself. Since then few accurate models for 3d printing appeared. I happend to acquire one of them receantly so now I have complete 3d model at my hands.

But my intention is not to 3d print it, but to continue on this project and use it to develop paper model from it. It saved me lots of hours on 3d modeling so now I can concentrate on making paper parts from 3d parts.

No progres, unfortunately. I have to finish A-wing first - my rule is to have just one unfinished model from a category. So I have one unfinished viking ship, one unfinished plane, one unfinished SW model. :)

And sadly for y-wing, I will probably jump to Tie-fighter after the A-wing, because I do not have any imperial ship and its build will be way shorter than Y-wing. But do not wory - asi it is said "Life is long". Or "Life is too short"? :) :)
