This Wing Gundam is a Bandai Real Grade (RG) kit. The RG kits are higher quality than even the Master Grade kits, but the same size (1/144th) as the HG kits, MG kits are 1/100th, and therefore much pricier than HG kits. While the Rg kits cost more than HG, they are generally only 30 to 50 % more than the HGs. MG kits are more than double the cost of HG kits.

Anywho, enough of the tirade on Gundam kits. This is the Wing Gundam Zero EW, and as the name implies, it has wings...

This kit is gonna be a dream to build. You build the inner articulated frame, then put the skin pieces on the frame.

One thing, this was not an overseas market kit, all righting is in Nihongo, aka Japanese.
I'm using Google Translate on my phone to read the instructions...

Someday I want to build a Gundam!
You should get a small one and try. They are getting carried in more hobby stores around the world, and the small SD kits are cheap (less than $10 USD) My local Hobby Lobby carries them, at least the HG and occasional RG kit.

todays construction installment, working further on the right leg. adding the outer panels of the right foot.

it astounds me how Bandai can get articulation points MOLDED in to these pieces, just look at how that foot bends, and the foot frame came off the sprue as one piece.

I'm using my alcohol based art markers to color the pieces as I build, so far just the .5mm Micron pen.

His only desire with my minis is to play army men with them... but he actually shows an interest in building the Gundams.

most everything I do is done to 3 foot quality, it looks great from 3 feet... My disability affects my fine motor control, so I make random mistakes at typing, drawing, painting, building, any of these, I may have to put Mr. WGZEW on hold, I cut a smallish piece off the sprue, and it went through my fingers and is gone, and it is a "mission critical" piece... Grrrr

Cool stuf I like the dragons
Which ones, I can get close ups so you can see all my mistakes... I have 3 Great Wryms, Red, White, and Gold. 3 young adults, Gold, Silver, and Copper. and two wyrmlings, Black, and Blue. I have a Young Adult Red, and a wyrmling Gold in my too do stash.

Build update time, image heavy. Finishing the outer plates on the Right leg, all details added so far are done with my Micron 01, .25mm art pen.

Next I am going to apply the decal markings to this leg assembly, it will be easier than waiting till it's all assembled.
