Sudsy builds: Mad Robot Miniatures Custom Fireteam

Indeed, I'm 'getting there' with the first phase being a fan created faction for Gorkamorka called the 'Dustrats' where they will only be about a squad level unit in various vehicles. Heavy weapons guy is there for expanding this core force into something more viable for 'vanilla' 40K game or...

Sudsy builds: Mad Robot Miniatures Custom Fireteam

Tonight, I got some building done. You will recognize our fireteam leader, and the final biker with a KG-9 SMG (counts as auto-pistol).

Sudsy builds: Mad Robot Miniatures Custom Fireteam

So, the results of painting... My observer (personal favorite, I must relate well to the fella with the radio on his back....) and the heavy weapons team armed with a laser cannon (Lascannon in 40k parlance).

Sudsy builds: Mad Robot Miniatures Custom Fireteam

Talk about a bit of scale creep here... Started out as a five man fireteam sized element, now I have nearly a platoon of these guys! My 2020 Resolution has been to reduce my 'lead pile' by painting what I have (and attempting NOT to purchase anything until I do). Here is my test of the...

Proteus II (modernized RT era Landraider) by Patoroch

Step 1. When you print the template, use clear flat or satin finish spray paint/coating. Then cut and build. Step 2. When you get sub assemblies built, or the whole model, use a spray paint primer. In my case, I used camouflage paint (intended for hunting equipment) from the hardware store...

    Lifesaving Medical Supplies to build...

...a winter wonderland... https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/winter-wonderland-medical-supplies My screen kinda got blurry reading this. Figured this group would get a kick of the project.

Proteus II (modernized RT era Landraider) by Patoroch

Latest Photo dump: Started final assembly today! Merry Christmas! Now, I just have treads to complete.... That might take me into 2020 with this project! Yes, I lazily loaded these without regard to order here on Zealot. For that I appologize. However, you can note on page one of this...

Proteus II (modernized RT era Landraider) by Patoroch

I do not beleve ther is much to prevent bending as glue adds moisture go the card. Clear coat spray helped reduce it to some extent prior to cutting. To solve that issue on that photo, I put the part under some weight like a stack of books, binders, or clamp as it dried. As for photo order, I...

Proteus II (modernized RT era Landraider) by Patoroch

Onwards toward painting! Tracks will be the highly impractical ones the Classic it had, the tracks that the hinge contacts the ground surface with... But then, this is based on the long obsolete MK I through V series of WWI fame. To establish the technological backwardness of the 40k series...

Next was the sponsons. Tip breaks on coated blades just as easy, but cutting edge is still sharp.

My apollogies for not posting more updates.... I have had all my documentation time consumed demonstrating papercraft to the community at Yaktribe games forum. Been fun seeing a handful of folks re-evaluate paper for vehicles. Here was my track road wheel build. Ended up using the blac...

Making Paper Warplanes, by David Hawcock

Yeah, I have no intention of posting anything from it other than builds. I'm certain they guy, or his estate, still maintains the copyright given that the company still is producing work in the form of pop-up books and cards. Besides, used copies are pennies on the dollar on Amazon!
