Wanted to get this on Sketchfab earlier but I've had a shocking cold, doesn't take much to knock me down these days :). Baby Rudolph Christmas scene on Sketchfab Couldn't match the fur specular as well as I wanted. Maybe if I could focus, anyway this'll do Wrestled with sketchfab's...

The circular eye highlights are a fake. Not real reflections but a mesh that hugs the eyeball and rotates to point at a controller (the star shaped wireframe controllers in the screengrab in post #350). The same controller can also be scaled to fade the highlight in/out. This is mostly due to...

I'll try to get the files organised to submit Rudi to a couple of 3D asset sites this weekend. Been prepping gallery images and writing 'blurb', this is some of what I'm going with though the text will probably change Just going to call this one 'Happy Rudolph' Just to show the...

Sorry for the late reply, yes Acrylics seemed the best option, I'd still like to improve my technique with them if I ever get the chance again. In other news I think I've got this year's Christmas card sorted :)

Thanks, I'm not built to manage multiple online outlets but I should really put more things on Artstation, The papercraft Dimorphodon can be got there (free of course). Gumroad I haven't gotten into. Some quick poses for renders Set up a quick scene without putting too much thought into it...

Thanks for the nice comments guys For the 'fur' I used Blender's 'anchored' stroke method for the control it gives as dragging out from the center of the click position scales and rotates the stamp. The sculpted details have now been baked into a normal map so I can apply the details as bump on...

Made lots of progress with this but haven't had time to properly W.I.P it. This is the sculpt, it's mostly just fur stamps made with scanned pencil drawings. Refined the control rig and got some texturing worked out. Painted with Blender tex paint / layered version assembled with Krita...

Got pretty far with this, need to make a tongue and smile blendshape. Mesh seems to be deforming OK with bones, just going to add controllers for eyes. Might get texturing started.

A little progress, I like having a rough build scale so decided 600mm to top of body, 1m to top of eye The usual subdivision surfaces, all quads (if poss), try to keep poles to a minimum and in tucked away areas

If in doubt go cute! Works for Disney :) Topology sketch gets mesh started, I want adjacent eye and mouth loops. Going to need some cuts for ear attach and eye shape, antlers are maybe a bit too adult.

Thinking about making some Christmassy stuff to put on 3D asset sites- snowman, Christmas tree etc. Haven't been creative for a while so I've got the inclination again. Probably a bad idea to make products that might sell ONLY at a particular times of year but I've been looking towards Christmas...

Made a lowpoly cartoonish Jack-o'-lantern. Too late to catch this year's Halloween interest but I've put it up for sale on a couple of 3D asset sites A real-time version- Spooky Halloween Pumpkin in Sketchfab Some pics rendered with Eevee The Blender Eevee renders look similar to the...
