    AT-AT scratchbuild project

Haven't done much modeling for a bit, once summer comes my interests/hobbies change. I find modeling is more of a fall/winter hobby for me. During the spring and summer months I have a "Honey to-do List" and my hobbies turn to woodworking/building stuff. Winters on its way so it's almost time...

    AT-AT scratchbuild project

Haven't forgotten about this, just have been pretty busy. I have to throw a gloss finish on the wood base then mess around with the actual snow/ice base. I am happy with the mock up so far. Base coat done on the walker, just waiting on an order of paint to come in to start painting everything.

Excellent job, not sure how long it took me to build mine but I agree, the instructions are sometimes pretty hard to understand.

Progress continues, I think off the top of my head I have the "neck" left, then a last going over until a primer coat.

Been plugging away, doing a bit here and there. Legs are pretty much complete except for the part that goes from the inner foot to the inner lower leg (kinda like a hydraulic piston or something). Undercarriage almost done, still some details to fish out to complete, the 2 "tubes" that go...

Just a quick update, the AT-AT is still on the bench and I have plans to finish it, really busy with work right now and I also ordered a bunch more styrene stuff to help with finishing it. More to come! Picture is just a teaser of whats to come.

Just a short video of my redneck vacuum forming technique and set up. It isn't perfect but does the job pretty good and costed nothing to make to very little to make.
