i havent gotten that much further on building it because i did the inside and it just wasnt going very well
and i never got around to thinking about how to change it
i have now made the two sides
i think i am going to make all of the inside bits and then wait till the end to fit these around but i am not really sure, i would like to paint the inside of these black but dont have any paint atm, tim peake's launch has made me really excited about space...
i have just started the build of the space core from portal 2, i designed the template myself and this is a first test build so there may have to be some changes
this is my progress so far
this will make the side of the core and it should have a diameter of about 13cm
ooo yeah i will definitely try that with the next face i make, my grandad works with lots of materials so he could probably lend me a glue that does something like that.
looks good, for uv mapping i just make another window and change the mode thing to uv image and then in edit mode you can...
it exports to .dae .bvh .ply .stl .3dx .fbx .obj .x3d
thank you, i tried to use that when i first started but didnt really get the hang of it (i might have been a bit overambitious though and tried to make a 3d model of a drd without knowing anything about 3d models)
i just keep merging all of the vertices to simplify it so it ends up in a pattern that will be good for a template and then keep exporting it into pepakura designer to make sure that the template is all ok. it take a long time and it is pretty repetitive but it gets the job done
i have started...
thanks, i got a 3d model that was extracted from the game and then simplified it in blender and then made the template, it took me a couple of months of working on it and then rage quitting though
I finished my first model whose template i designed myself today, which was a bit of a learning curve lmao but also quite fun.
the model is marian hawke from dragon age 2
