Vintage GI Joe Diorama Piece With Remake

Cobra_Console_clean.jpg Cobra Console - Remake - Final -.jpg Example.jpg

I recently tried to print and assemble a vintage 1980s GI Joe toy that was on a cereal box (which had been saved to a website years ago). I printed it at the scale the picture came in and tried to assemble it, but it had been designed very poorly and wouldn't go together correctly. I decided to correct the picture so there would be no gaps and no panels that went together crooked, clean up the lines, and make the Cobra logo fit completely onto the computer monitor while I was at it. Here are the original and corrected versions, as well as a picture of the completed model.

Printing the thing on cardstock at 1:1 scale makes a 3.75" arcade-style cabinet, which is the same height as the GI Joe figures of its day. However, I was told by someone who owned an original that it was supposed to be a portable computer. Printing it at 40% should produce a better model.

Moderators/Admins: This is my first post that's neither in the "Introduction" section nor a reply to another post, so if I need to change anything, please let me know.

Enjoy!

* Edit: If you're going to make one of these, please download the third version: "Cobra Console - Ultimate.bmp". I've also uploaded the whole project to the "Resources" section at Zathros' suggestion.

This is a good spot. Neat diorama. You rescued a piece of paper modeling history. The model shouldbe uploaded to the "Resource" section. You might want to try it, that way you will get used to the practice. If you have any trouble, I will gladly help you. :)

Thank you very much for preserving a piece of history for all of us to enjoy! It looks like it could be greebled a bit as well.
I have gone ahead and approved the upload. Now all can enjoy it!
Once again, thank you very much!!!

Here's a black & white outline of the same piece, for those of you who might want to modify it. It took a little while to make it (working backwards), but I think it was worth it:
