Good to see people are still celebrating Uhu's incredible art! For the holidays I took some time to finally build one of my favorite UHU models - the Time Machine from the 1960s movie. What a wonderful model it is and it brought me many hours of joy! There are some tricky parts, including the railing and some of the components of the tower that holds the rotating shield. Definitely a learning experience for me. I am attaching a photo of the finished product here for you to enjoy!

Everyone have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year! If you haven't watched the original "The Time Machine", take the time to do so! Oh, and btw, H.G. Well's incredible masterpiece of a story was officially continued by sci-fi legend Stephen Baxter's in "The Timeships".

Thank you UHU for providing me with many hours of enjoyment and a beautiful display piece! :)

Superb job, really excellent. Also, your photograph is perfect. I have seen some huge pics on this forum that are fuzzy messes, but this is about as sharp as it gets. Great! :)

uhu02, I was blown away by your work when I saw it spot lighted in a blastr.com blog post. So much so, that I became very hasty with my desire to construct your models, and went about agressively looking for them. After a very polite slap on the back of the head from Raven Black, I have seen the error of my ways. I did not intent to be rude or disrespectful, and after doing a bit of reading... yeah, ;-) ;-)

So ...............................................................................................................................................................
-----------------------------------------------------------------------seeking involves no sound, or writing, or typing, seeking involves seeking, consider this the second slap. When you have it, you will slap yourself again. zathros :)

I'll join the chorus of folks and say thank you Uhu02 for your models. I feel a bit guilty downloading your designs and directions for free. Can I send you a few bucks to offset the cost of the bandwidth of your site? Perhaps a donation to a charity you support would be more to your liking?

I get everyone when they come out, so when I finally can't move anymore, I can build them. ;)

it's a fairly easy 0 level cantrip, Clean, followed by the the 2nd level alteration spell, Precise... but in Uhu02's case it's just plain unadulterated SKILL...

Mr uhu02, sir I want to thank you for the inspirational models that you so expertly create and I only hope that some day I will be skilled enough to build.

Have you seen this in the news
"Academy Museum Buys Rare ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ Model For $344,000". It is the Aries 1B Trans-Lunar Space Shuttle. I would rather have UHU02's version more because I can afford it, and UHU02 looks better, but then again look who designed it, and you don't get the joy of building it like UHU02's model.

McTschegsn, post a pic and link to the NEW thread you start under the appropriate "Science Fiction" thread. Do not post build threads here. Thanks!!

I'd like to see that one built, I've not seen the SHADO Interceptor from UHU built yet. :)

I just saw a build of uhu02's Aquarius landing module template on the Moson Modell Show in Hungary (dunno who is the builder .. but I'm sure I will know once it wins the gold :) ) ... and ... :jawdrop:.

I mean I saw the pics and everything, but it doesn't make you appreciate it fully!
I personally like to make organic shaped models figures that I can work with my fingers rather than the precise/ultra-detailed tweezers/scalpel type paper models, but I think I can appreciate the skill level that is required for this.

Great templates and great builds! And you are an AWESOME guy for sharing. Thx!

I'm just building that one right now and can assure that the way this model is designed is pure joy when you put every little piece of it and see that the fit is so perfect that almost no correction is necessary. I'm enjoying every second I spend on this work and, I repeat, everytime I stop and look at what is growing under my hands... no other way to say: pure joy! :D
