My question is the lack of results I get when I use the thread search

example in aviation military I search for B-24 I know there are I have seen at least one eaven other bombers I get nothing found.
I then look at the first listing in the maybe f-22 I search f-22 with nothing found I know it is there.

What am I missing

I've always dislike the search function in these forums. You can't find what you're looking for, because, B-24 for example, only has three characters (the - is ignored). I don't know why, but a search term has to have four or more alphanumeric characters in it.

Search is definitely a problem in these forums, as Bhelliom mentioned. It's these danged computers, they only work well with long names. It really helps if you use the planes call sign, like Tomcat, Raptor, Gooney Bird, etc. :)

I constantly make the experience with google search, too. Everytime I search for e. g. "AT-AT" I usually get a zillion links to texts containing the word "at" but none leading me to the famous Star Wars vehicle wall1 .
I try to make search easier for the fans by adding the complete designation and origin of the vehicle to the title of the thread; so if one key word doesn't work the next one surely will. As Zathros said, if you are looking for "F-22" and you don't get a result, try looking for "Raptor" or a word which is closely related to that subject ("jet", "Lockheed", "fighter").

OK thank you for the responses. I I did think that was the problem.
It would be very good to work out,
If for all threads of the grate Douglas DC3 gooney bird if the Lister did not put any of these words in the title I will never find them.

At this point we need to get it out for all to add as much as possible to the title page
Because I would like to read the and there just too many pages to just flip the pages of the catalog

All my thanks

As a community, and as individual members, we can only start with our own projects. Title them correctly, and hopefully, start a trend. The forum's database is too massive to go back and tr and modify the titles. :)

You can add almost 5000 posts to my post count. It's a long story, but the post count you see is not my actual post count here. :)

Oh, I think I know what you mean. The "Search" function for the "Downloads" section is atrocious. I have asked for that to be fixed many times but there seems to be some kind of quirk. :)

I'd like to post a question about the search in the new Zealot because it seems to me that it doesn't work or I'm not able to use it.
I try to explain what I did. I choosed a thread that I started myself, so I was sure to search something existing, then I searched the word "Gemini" in title only, but the result was "not results found". where I went wrong? or has something to be fixed in the new forum?

Thanks for attention

I am having exactly the same problem with Search too.
I put in USSC DISCOVERY to find my build thread and I get 'No Results Found'
But when I search for it manually, there it is!!!!!
