hello everyone. long time, no posting. just recovering from a reacent move and i'm finally settling down. i haven't been drawing alot lately, but i have been able to complete these pictures during he months i was gone.

I know that becoming president can put a lot of stress on a guy, but man, has Obama gotten scalier since we last saw him.

All jokes aside, this creature is obamadon gracilis. This foot long polyglyphanodontid found in hell creek along with a large variety of other reptiles. It was named for it's specialized teeth, who was claimed to have (Extremely controversial) resemblance to president Obama teeth.

I don't see it. But what I do see is some interesting pathologies of polyglyphanodontid that seem convergent to modern day teiids. Especially tegus. I decided to lose lyrics base obamadon on a tegu, given their detition and skull design seems suited to an omnivorous life style.

I also de sided to depict some sexual dimorphism between the species. The bright green is the male while the smaller brown is the female and you can guess what their are doing

This fleet footed, long necked reptile is langobardisaurus pandolifi. This odd creature had large eyes in a short and narrow skull. It had relative sized for limbs and extremely elongated hind limbs, making it very suited for some form of bipedal locomotion. Here, I depicted it as a nocturnal animal. Running through brush in the night sky of the late Triassic, looking for invertebrates to eat.

just some random doodles

A large torvosaurus comes to consult with an trespassing lourinhanosaurus about the problems of being in his shade spot without permission.

This is a wip that would take quite a while, so I might as well showcase it now.

Freddyman,
234,235, 236, 239,262, 240, have their pictures gone! You are uploading them directly right? Did you EDIT them in anyway and possibly lose them? I ask because if we lost them, and you did not touch the posts at all, I really need to know. Please, let me know? If you EDITED the posts in any way shape or form, let me know too. Thanks

I know, I just want EVERYONE to upload their pics here. I will start deleting threads that reference a pic that is not there. My intention is also to have all threads more than 2, maybe 3, years old turned into an "Read Only" archive that can be searched and read, but not posted or edited, by anyone. People who wish to restart an old archived thread will just have to start over again. This would protect all pictures and data. :)

sorry for the long inactivity. zathros, most of my works are unfortunately not uploaded directly here, but rather from sites such as deviant art and ourartcorner.com.

O.k., I just want the threads to look neat, there is nothing worse than a thread with all the pictures gone, just aa bunch of commentary with no reference. Those threads will be deleted. This one has so many pics, it's safe. I will tell you that if you upload them here, they will always be here. :)

and"Remember the Alamo"......tyrannus
Here's Alamotyrannus brinkmani. The contraversial, unpublished specimen TMM 41436-1, was found in the Ojo Alamo formation which dates to the early Maastrichian. Predating usual t.rex specimens by about 2 million years, we may be looking at a new large taxon of tyrannosaurid, or a coexisting chronospeceis. Or just another specimen of tyrannosaurus rex (it's still very much up to debate)
I was obviously inspired by saurian tyrannosaurus rex depiction while making this drawing. Also, given the time period it was found, I decided to depict it as a transitional form of tyrannosaurid between daspletosaurus and tyrannosaurus

I wish I could think like that! Seriously, think of the processes involved, all culminating into these drawings/paints/models. Lots going on up in there. :)

oh my gosh, freddyman actually didn't draw a dinosaur! what is the world coming to!?

ha, i honestly didn't know where to place this and being that this is my art thread, i might a swell display it here.
heres an f-8 crusader i drew in class. the entire drawing was made using a single lead pencil and a black marker for the tires. i was really impressed on how this came out, despite i myself never intended for it to come out this way. also the picture quality taken away some of the drawing apeal. it looks much better in person, although i have been told this phot makes it looks like a very old photo

This is another monster, but a monster of the air! :)

The sepia tone gives it a very fancy vintage look. To keep it in line with your previous creature arts, let's say it is a still from a cut scene from one of the "Godzilla" movies. :)

O.k., you draw a jet, and it happens to be my all time favorite!! I made so many kills with this jet in Jane's combat flight maneuver using the same techniques used in Vietnam. The jet could not out turn a Mig 19 but it would flu straight up and while the MIG was in a full banking turn, come straight down for the kill. An incredible jet, that the government realized they made far too few of by the time the F-4 phantom arrived. One pilot shot down a Mig 21, went into full after burners, flew 26 miles away in a huge loop into the sky to come back and take out the second Mig, who never saw what got him. A truly fantastic jet, which could and mostly operated off carriers! As I flew an airplane for real, I tried to emulate, albeit at 1/10th the speed, some of the maneuvers this plane did. It must have been incredible at the speeds they operated at. It also had a variable incident wing, which I noticed in your drawing that means this plane was coming in or going out, though judging from it's angle of incident, the downward leading edge slats, I'd say it was on it's way out!

Actually, you captured it pretty well. It looks like a memory!! That's art!! :)
