How to change address when Digitrax Zephyr doesn't work

I saw on a forum some time ago how to change the address of a loco when Zephyr didn't work. It was something like hooking a wire across the rails of the programming track. I did not keep the instructions and need to do it again. It was a Bachmann loco. It worked what ever I did. Anyone on here know what I am talking about?? Thanks for a reply. It was not on this forum by the way.

I'm no help, I don't do any programming on the digitrax system at the club, I'm either too dense, or the documentation is too obtuse; I have a basic NCE system at home that I use to run my test track when I'm working on a DCC locomotive, or to show off my HOn3 Blackstone C-19 on my Hon3 portable layout. Programming with the NCE is pretty straightforward, and very well documented. I never could get anything to program on Digitrax, and hurt my brain when I tried; but then I'm a Ludite and have difficulty with anything more techically advanced than a flintlock pistol.
