Help / Ideas?

Hello, I'm getting back into the hobby from the early 90's and was wondering if anybody had any ideas for the space that I have. I've tried the freeware and got nowhere but frustrated. Any help would be Great!

All of my rolling stock is Athearn/Roundhouse Blue Box type stuff. No DCC.
I plan on new code 100 track (wife loves the steamers). I have GP's and SW's to handle switching, Hustlers for spotting and SD's,TM's and U Boats for hauling. Mostly SP and Santa Fe some UP.

I was thinking of a point to point mostly dealing with grain? I have several buildings already from the Prarie star milling complex to the Magic Pan Bakery - McGraw Oil to the Black Gold Asphalt Co.
I can give a complete list? I was trying to go from prairie to a city in the hills. Mid 60's - Early 90's? I can give what ever info you feel I've missed?

If you have the time and dont mind forwarding ideas I'd be greatful.
Thanks
Russ

WOW tough room.

Is it the way I asked? Was it something I said? Did the drawing not come through? < I see it? I was just trying to get some ideas - Thanks for the views?

I think that if you P.M. some of the active Train enthusiasts, you might get some help. Also, it is customary to post an "Introduction" in this Introduction section Here;

Posting there, with your questions, may have attracted more viewers. Many people consider it poor etiquette to make your first post questions, without at least introducing yourself. That could be a start and also, looking through the archived threads for ideas. I think an Introduction is in order.

This forum is a close (not closed) knit community of people who share quite readily, but we like to get to know who we are dealing with. An Introduction goes a long way. I also think if you posted some ideas, layouts you are thinking of, you find some people having a better understanding of what you are trying to achieve. :)

Thank you for the input. I don't recall posting on a forum before so I'm not really sure how all of this works. I do apologise if I ruffled anyone's feathers. I will take your advice and post an introduction. Thanks again.

I would also recommend doing a search of the forum. There are many layouts, and suggestions on how to determine what your layout should be. I am not a train person, well, rudimentary compared to some of the people here. The info is here, if not in direct for, then in the archives. :)

The forum has a massive data base, so finding the right words can be a p.i.t.a.! We all go through it, either in here, or Google, etc. :)
