Sly Seeker, I had to recommend this as the M.O.M., it's just awesome! One of the best build threads on the forum too. Your positive attitude on this forum brings a quality that cannot be measured. Great job, and well deserved. :)

Maybe because you see it everyday, but I can assure you this model really "Pops". The detailing has taken this model way over the top. It is the standard bearer for this ship!! :):Bravo:

Z-

Wow!! I almost don't know what to say. I'm totally speechless. This is really high praise coming from you and I really appreciate it.:) All that was done was to follow the advice of people on this forum and the detail from Trent Henry on the model itself.

There are some things that should be added such as LEDs (what Berzu did and what DanBKing is doing with his Terminator craft, and Spaceagent is doing with the Agamemnon EA Destroyer), little vipers flying around the ship, and a base to set the craft on like DanBKing did with his 2001 Discovery ship.

Just an opinion.

Thanks for your kind thoughts on the project and your support / advice.

Take care!

Absolutely fantastic! The MOM is well-deserved! As @zathros said, the extra detailing makes it "POP", so we have not only a "MOM" here but also a "POP"! :)

(Next time we'll be talking about the "KIDDIES", "GRAMPS" etc. :D )

RF,
Wow!! (I'm getting repetitive here)! Thanks!! :animated: Thank you also for your support and advice along the way especially to make the engine recessed. I've learned to think a little differently about problem solving along the way that sometimes the obvious solution is right in front of you.

Thank you also for providing the templates for the triangle ship. One day I hope to build that as well. Your presentation of your builds helped to guide this build as well. Thanks for YOUR inspiration.:bowdown::bowdown:

I'll probably ask for your help in the future especially when I design the B5 Centauri Vorchan (unless you know of a good model of it already).

I'll try to keep it to the scale of Jaybat's model of the EA destroyer / cruiser Agamemnon.

Thanks again!:)

Take care.

You have earned it. Your build is TOP NOTCH! You have set the bar as to what this model should look like when finished. When I build this model, I intend on using your thread as a guide for such (I hope that others who are interested in building this model will do the same as well).
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I am looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Yes, but it took me almost a year off and on for a while. I got stuck with the turrets for a bit until a simple design was obtained. The major part, the greebling / detailing was just following the printed textures on the model. Didn't know what I was in for until each section was done. I still look at it from time to time to see what else can be improved. The next big design will be the Vorchan from Babylon 5.

Thanks for your kind compliment as well as stopping on by Black Adder!

The graphics on the sides are the blueprint for "greebling". Interpreting which go in and which pop out is another issue and takes research. You model really "Pops" because of the "greebling", and the interior of the landing/recovery bay for the vipers. An excellent, oft overlooked area that warrants "greebling" the most, on any BSG Battlestar ship that has these features. :)

This is fantastic. I have had this kit printed and sitting on my desk for the last three years. Now I'm inspired to give it a try. It would go great with the Bezerk I built a while back

Glad that you enjoyed looking at the model. Maybe your version could add some mini Vipers? Feel free to give it a whirl and please share it with the rest of our community. Please send me a message when you get around to doing the turrets. The original designs were really tiny and I was forced to re-do them.

Looking forward to seeing what you can do.

BTW - Welcome to Zealot!
