A few months ago, a good friend of mine gave me a whole ream of various high quality cardstock, most of them with metallic (silver, gold, gunmetal, aluminium, etc.) finishes.

I am rather fond of lions, the king of beasts, so, using some of the aforementioned cardstock, I decided to pour accolades on the friend, and the beast.

The pattern was downloaded from the pepakura site. As the pattern is a mirror image along its vertical axis, I printed the pattern on the back of the cardstock, which preserved the finish but gave me cut and score lines behind. Each separate mosaic was then scored from behind, cut out, folded, edge-coloured and glued to shape.

Using spray glue, I laminated a sheet of matt black card to a sheet of 5mm foamboard and using some left over wood profile, sprayed black, I made a frame.

Then it was just a case of assembling the puzzle...... ;)

Frame size: 55cm x 42cm

I like that, a lot!! I have made some "Bas-Relief" type paper craft based on Japanese Anime. Not this exactly, but I certainly could stand seeing more of what you have here. ;)
