:inw: I am in awe of your talent, this is amazing

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I do build other models from the download section but I much prefer to scratch build my own. Already the next item on my design board is floating around my head, It may be a sci-fi item. Here is another set of photos. Enjoy and see you around the forums.

So here is the next installment. The instructions are in the photos but I must mention that the sides of the chariot is regular card stock thick, 110lbs compared to the other parts which are cereal box thick.

In continuation, here is the next batch of photos. The trimming looks rough at this time but that will be remedied later on in another set of the build thread. Here are the photos for your perusal. See you all next time around the forums.

I do have another version for making the wheels. I may show it here at the end of the thread or maybe in another horse drawn vehicle thread. It may come in handy in the making of 1/72 scale models.

And now, for the next batch of photos.

After I uploaded the photos, they are out of sequence. The program defaults to the size of the jpg's and loads it to the size. The photos are numbered so as to follow the sequence correctly. Enjoy and see you all next posting.

Have you ever seen the documentary that portends to show that the Roman drawings of chariots shows that they used a rope suspension of the floor to take the bumps?

No I have not, but it looks like they would have to maintain a good balance with the system rocking. Early version of a skate board.

More on the chariot. Comments are inserted into the photos. Enjoy and see you all next posting.

Hi Silveroxide:
Only today I saw your project. It is amazing!
I grabed the book "Armies of the Pharaohs" from Osprey as a reference and not only you show great craftmanship as you did your homework.
Looking forward for developments.
Regards
Carlos

Thank you for the comment Carlos. This is one version of the Egyptian Chariot. There is an easier version, where the basket is more squared and has half back to it. Some chariots have a weave pattern around the basket. Another version is have animal hide stretched around the basket, Zebra, lion, cheetah, Water buffalo, and so on. The weave is out but the other skin versions is still up for grabs.

So here is the next batch of photos for your enjoyment. See you all next posting.

I see you put her too work. I like the work outfit. Very practical! Good advice about rounding the parts before gluing for lamination. :)

Again, thanks for the comments. I put my little gal to work, after all, she is the reason I re-did my initial build. I could not find a figure or horses the right size for the initial project. I am not very good at making figurines, but I assume that some of the anime figures out there could be made to fit the chariot if plastic or resin figures cannot be found. Here is the next batch of photos for your enjoyment. See you all next posting.

I can never offer anything in any thread Silveroxide has ever made, so I either offer my praise and accolades, or make stupid posts to just show I am watching and paying attention. You're not alone. Silveroxide make some buggies and uploaded the "diagrams", they looked like a doodle on a napkin. Only he could do these. This is really handmade stuff. That is why I believe these tutorials are incredible. They will be archived for sure. :)

Hi Silveroxide:
If I understood well you changed to 1/35. You can find some figures. Andrea makes in 54mm, porbably you might find some to use as a base.
Another alternative could be the Preiser figures "Academy nudes" or something like that. They are multipose male (and female kits). They have 6 figures. You can choose the best combination of parts to get the desired pose.
Other then the Pharaoh, maybe the other men would be in simple garments, so it wouldn't require much sculpintg.
Here's an example of boxed diorama i made some years ago with those fiugres, but in 1/24.
Hi Zathros, hope you didn't took wrong my comment. I reeeally have dificulty in making commnets when a work is overwhelming.
Rgds to all
