Hello everyone,
it's been a while since I found the time to get involved in model building. Now it has become a little quieter
and I have decided to build the Marauder Corvette from the Star Wars universe.
I saw the ship and knew immediately that I had to build it at some point
.
It will take some time fo finish it, as my schedule is still quite full and Christmas is just around the corner. But I'm already looking forward to putting it together. I'll also try to add details here and there where I think it makes sense.
And so it begins.....
Nice looking ship that deserves attention. You can greeble up the ship bu making multiple copies of the Hull and cutting out sections to raise up or lower, according to better pics. Not sure if this is the exact one, lots of variants.

Thank you for the hint to increase or deepen parts. That is exactly what I intend to do.
First I will assemble the basic parts and decide step by step where I want to do some greebeling.
First details added, which I also colored with a marker and a charcoal pencil to make them clearer.
I will work on the hull plates at a later stage as I don't have a good plan for them yet.
Detailing of the underside with various levels of detail. (partly 2 layers, or even 3 or 4 layers). Appropriate re-coloring to make the parts sharper.
new parts added for the closing of the cockpit part (last picture).
Here are the next parts and the assembly of the cockpit part with the body. (upper side) Concerning the greebeling I will do one or the other additional action at the end of the project, but I can only see that at the end of the assembly.
For the assembly: the body part is partially recessed into the cockpit part - it took me a while to understand it and recognize the corresponding markings.
Happy holidays.
the lower part can be created in the same way as the upper part. the gluing together required a few small adjustments. the side fins are originally aligned as in picture 2 - but I think they would look better the other way round.
the body is very unstable in this form, so i have built a temporary internal framework. this will be rebuilt when the remaining parts are finished.
