[Awry_Chaos] 3D Works-In-Progress (WIPs)

Since I'm taking a long hiatus from doing paper models and I now have my computer set up I am able to return to 3D modeling using Blender. This thread will feature my 3D WIPs as I have multiple 3D projects going.

This is a WIP of a model I started a long time ago. It's the BRDM-2, an armoured amphibious scout car from Russia (still used in several countries worldwide).

So far, I have got the main body done except for the windows and other access panels. After I put those in I will move onto detailing the model. Right now I am sitting at about 500 quads but I expect this number to go maybe into the tens of thousand as I detail everything. My goal is to model a low-poly "game" model and then a mid- or high-poly "studio" model.

Here is a WWII airplane that I did as my first aircraft model in Blender. It's the Curtiss-Wright CW-21, a pre-WW2 fighter-interceptor.

I wanted to prove to myself I could model an airplane in Blender and for my first attempt it turned out well. I plan on texturing this model, adding materials to it, and using it as a test model for rendering in Blender. It sits at about 8,000 quads without subdivision, and about 36,000 quads with a level 2 subdivision. I would consider it a mid-poly model.

Thank you!

Do you know of any good blueprints for the HAMMERHEAD fighter? I'm searching for some on the net. Maybe Revell-Fan has some good drawings.
Actually, I have quite a bit of reference for the HAMMERHEAD fighter. I will send you a PM.
