Three years ago my 30 year old daughter discovered she had a very agggressive form of breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy and treatment and things were good for a while. Unfortunately we recently found out it is back, has spread and is through out her bloodstream. Her prognosis isn't good. She, her husband and Mrs. Doc have flown to Houston Texas to see some specialists in Inflamatory Breast Cancer, the kind she has. I'm holdong the fort by babysitting my three grandmonsters for the next week.

I've you're of a mind, I'd sure appreciate an extra prayer or two.

Thanks,
Doc

Doc,
I'll keep your daughter in my prayers, for the physcal strength to deal with the disease, the emotional strength to deal with the recurrence, and the spiritual strength to simply deal. Oh, and one for you also, as the one responsible for the three "grandmonsters".

Dear St. Peregrine, I need your help. I feel so uncertain of my life right now.
This serious illness makes me long for a sign of God's love.
Help me to imitate your enduring faith when you faced the ugliness of cancer and surgery.
Allow me to trust the Lord the way you did in this moment of distress.

I want to be cured, but right now I ask God for the strength to bear the cross in my life.
I seek the power to proclaim God's presence in my life despite the hardship,
anguish and fear I now experience.

O Glorious St. Peregrine, be an inspiration to me and petitioner of those needed
graces from our loving Father. Amen.

Cancer is limited ...

It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot shut out memories
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the spirit,
It cannot lessen the power
of the Resurrection.

Hey Doc we will be praying for your family also and remember that god can heal all things if we just have faith. God be with you and your family.

We'll all be praying for you guys here, my aunt just went through her second surgery in five years for the same horrible disease. This thing CAN and WILL be beaten! Until then, keep the faith, and God bless all of you!

Oh Doc, I am sorry to hear that news. As a recovering cancer patient who also got a less than rosey prognosis I know a bit of what your daughter and family are going through. I will pray for you all and wish you the strength you need to face this ordeal. I also offer some hope as we are making strides in the battle against cancer. Every new day I wake up to tells me so.

Blessings and peace,
Ralph
