actually, i start it since feb. ...as u know yamaha released this model part by part, when i come to part3 i found some parts' colour is different from the sample, so i think about repaint it, then i got chance to modify all of parts...
i am sorry about my poor Eng. ~ hope u don't mind
That is a stunning model, Pipy. It is a lesson for all of us on what can be achieved in this medium. Thank you for showing it to us.
dear Alan, i really wanna thanks for ur commend~
not only read ur threads when i was a visitor in here, but also after i browsed ur motorcycle papermodel homepage, ur amazing job are strongly impressed on my memory, if someone can give a class in how to build cycle model, there is no doubt it's u~
Excellent build. Lovely looking tyres, always my hardest part. How did you get the leather look on the seats. And once again excellent build.
At firsti, when I saw the pictures I thought "Maybe this new user didn't understand that this is a forum about card modeling..." as I was sure the model was not made of paper. Well, you got me!
Superb model, great craftmanship. Hat off to you. And welcome to the forum, by the way.
i will try to post some pics of building later, especially the way to modify parts ～like the seats & the tyres ^_^
thanks for your high compliment! some of my friends do not accept of the papermodel validity because of i used putty and some of nonpaper material to modify the model...lol
in all honesty I actually thought you were showing off a real motorcycle
That isn't paper thats a pic of his REAL bike... err i guess i was wrong...
Excellent build! Truly excellent!
dear friends, thanks for your kindly words, i'd like to post some pics of building process when i get freetime, but since my Eng. is such poor i can only try my best to say what i wanna say, please forgive my nonstandard usage or grammatical construction. you guys just feel free to ask or discuss critically:grin:
body before paint~cylinder head and valve lifters cover already be painted, cause i wanna make the chromium-plated look on them,
the main body be painted to aluminum's colour, so they look like have differences when compared.
also make the chromium-plated on crankshaft cover and the gear box cover
meanwhile, paint the fuel inject sys cover, intake sys cover...and the sump
i used the way "re-cover" to stick another smaller figure on tank body, at afterbody of this part, i gave up original design, i try to cut the figure close to antetype. and i cut off fuel cover, stick a ring over it.
after assembled i used putty to make joint smooth, so now you know why i re-cover the smaller figure on body:-D ...and u can see i cut an arc at the bottom of Yamaha circle logo
this is process of made logo...
i'm not satisfied with it, so...redo 8) ...
