XC-99 update

    For those of you who like the big birds and would love to see a model of this one, the real McCoy is going to its new home.

    I have seen this aircraft in person, walked around it taking two rolls of film (which eventually got stolen during a move across the Big Pond) and when I got started in paper modeling, was one of the first aircraft I looked for a model of. Maybe someday.

    I didn't even now this bird was still around. I assumed it had long been converted to beer cans and frying pans. Hopefully this summer I'll make it to Dayton to see its cousin the B-36. But I always thought it looked kind of toylike with those single wheel main gears
