If I may ask, exactly how are the wires attached to the posts? Is there tying, gluing, involved? What type glue?

Great job, I always enjoy your pictures Raimund! Both here and in Saul's monthly magazine. (I was starting to sweat when I didn't see April's issue come out right away. Maybe an April Fool's joke?)

    Raimund,

how did you attach the elevators and rudder to the tailplane and fin?
I don't see any attachment pieces. Did you just "superglue" them into the desired position?

I tried superglue as well as white glue to fix the wires at the horns. The problem is to hold the line as long as the glue uses to dry. If you cannot fix it properly the result differs, the last try is the best 8) so I cannot recommend any of the different glues.

I fixed the elevators with UHU (yellow) so it can swing a little bit

    cheers from cold austria

Now if you would hinge the control surfaces, attach the other ends of the strings to the stick and pedals, and appropriately train a little mouse.....great job so far.

    Raimund,

I am here in Germany. Which type of UHU should I look for? My
German is still not that good.(read-can you describe the package
of what I need to look for?)

P.S. - That build is looking great!

    Thanks,

    Texman

    hi texman,

    try to get the following

UHU ALLESKLEBER (no TROPFFREI !) (yellow and black)
UHU kraft alleskleber (yellow and black)
    UHU hart spezialkleber für modellbau

the first two have a relative long open time, some corrections are possible. the last one should be used with some care, it dries hart (lose some volume, put a drop on a paper and watch what happens)

    hope this helps
    cheers

I have just released a mod for this kit, converting it from an S16 to the later S16 "ser" available free to forum members.

As always a fantastic build Raimund!
