I filled up mine with super glue...
you can just take the tip and push it slightly with circling motion onto the table. This will close the hole. (Is that a good description... )
Jayo explained once that it's virtually physically impossible to roll a cone properly if the very tip of the wedge is left in place. Jan was simply allowing for this and his suggestion sounds like the perfect solution.

I will try to do it in photo paper, the same way I did your gilder.
For the very small holes at the end of cones I tend to use a small ball of paper soaked in PVA. Then pushed into the hole and then molded to the shape required (before fitting the cone to the model) :roll:.
It works even better for the rockets that have a rounded tips.
