I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where I could find a realistic looking speed boat. I know that there are a police and fire boat but have been unsuccessful finding one that is not. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Preiser makes a nice model of the older Criss Craft speedboat.

Would that be the "Muskoka" boat? Those are really nice. If I could get my hands on the pattern for one, I would love to try my hand at scratch building that.

No, I believe it is the same one Bob is speaking of.

Does anyone have any feedback on the 1/87 SCALE FIRE DEPT RESCUE BOAT by BOLEY. I could paint that but does it look realistic? Thanks

    Speedboat found!

    Hi pwheeling,

may it was something like this you'relooking for. It's basicly the Boley-boat, but sold under another brand named Schuco in Germany. It's also lettered for German Police. I saw them in Fire Dept. and US Police as well. I hope the fotos are detailled enough to help.
It will be relettered foe US police in the future and will serve the harbour together with a USCG Cutter build from a Kibri fire fighting boat.

Thanks Caliban, those close up photos are better than any I've seen on any website. Do you think your boat looks realistic on your scale? It is hard for me too tell without it being right here in front of me. Thanks again, Paul

    Size!

Good to know it helped you!
I took some additional fotos from the boat, the fire truck is the well know Athearn, the police car is Busch and the police officer is Preiser.
