    Concur on the identity with Maurice - definitely Napier Lion powered - look for the 3 banks of cylinders of the W-engine.

    I have a recollection there's a model of the Piaggio floatless prototype that was intended for the Schneider trophy around. I can't remember where I saw it though.

    I think I have to concur on the Gloster IV.b - the Macchi 39, 67 and 72 float strut configurations do not match the photo.

    Yeah my first thought was Supermarine............... but the center hump messed that up............I agree it's of Gloster linage..........
