What do you do when the lead unit runs out of fuel?
Why you wye your unit consist of course..This was taken in Bucyrus(Oh)and the CR unit run out of fuel.The unit was supposedly serviced at Conway.

Ralph,Actually I was at home and my scanner alerted me to the rare move..So,I drove to the T&OC station and took the pictures.Yup,I keep my scanner on from the time I get up to bed time.It keeps me informed of any "special moves"..It also alerts me to when there will be several trains by..This information is gleam from road Foreman, signal and track maintainers wanting track time or perhaps a train waiting in the siding..
Like this:
Road foreman Smith to Sandusky dispatcher.
Dispatcher:"Dispatcher"
Road foreman,Yeah,hows it looking for me to sit on and run between RT.98 and Marion?
Dispatcher..Well,lets see..I have 3 West bounds and 2 East bounds.Call after the last West bound.
Road foreman..Ok..Call you after the last West bound.

I then proceed to watch the show.

Ralph,I would be lost without my scanner..Its a valuable railfaning tool.
My old hand held scanner was stolen and I bought a use base for $50.00 back in January and my kids got me a new hand held..Both are Uniden Bearcat.
