    The Ertel 40' box car

    Ertel made it's little move into and out of HO scale. It was so fast that their were only leftovers. It gives you something to look for at train shows.

    Why does this engine have two numbers? If your L&A renumbered it, the old DRGW number needs to be completely removed. Either that or keep the original number but put your railroad's reporting marks next to it on the cab.

    Because it's been patched and has a date with the repaint shop.

    My point is the original number should be patched over. It currently has two numbers on the cab.

    Just as I've seen a number of SP units. The original number on top with the new number beneath. Others had them the way you described.
