    Hi guys!
After my failure to build Merkava , I've decided to try and learn to make some whethering on armor models. I have a scanned version of Maly's T-34 that I'd repainted using Photoshop. Now here's the question . How can I weather an armor model (or any model , I believe that oil stains are similar on plane too ) ? I know how make darker and lighter sides and panels but how can I make something like rust staines, dust even maybe bare metal ? Any ideas ?

    Boris,

You're referring to weathering effects using Photoshop?

    Best regards, Gil

I did a quick down and dirty tutorial on Photoshop texture maps, but am having a bear of a time uploading it.

I was thinking you wanted real world references for what you were trying to do.

    Bill,

let me know when or if you have it uploaded to the site, so i can approve the file
or email it to me, and I will add it to the parts bin
or even better, make it an article submission

This is specifically designed for making texture maps (surface detail) in one program (like Photoshop) not bouncing between a bunch of different programs (which I tend to do). So I hope it will help and will try to get it up some time this evening.
